Project Description

Dr. James Locke Cambridge

Dr. James Locke

Research Group Leader,
Royal Society University Research Fellow,
Sainsbury Laboratory Cambridge,
University of Cambridge

James’s group applies single cell microscopy, mathematical modelling, and synthetic biology techniques to understand gene circuit dynamics in microbes and plants. The group is a mix of physicists, biologists, biochemists, mathematicians, and computer scientists, all working together to try to understand how genetic circuits generate dynamic, and even stochastic, gene regulation.
